Croton Falls Road Bridge closure planned for rehablitation of the span. Croton Falls Road over the Croton River in North Salem and Somers will be partly closed Wednesday through Nov. 22, and completely closed Sunday. The Writing Factory has closed. As of January 2015, the Marmaduke Writing Factory has closed its doors. During its four years as writing refuge for a dozen or so different writers, the factory workers produced thousands of words and several books.
